A Cyber Security Camp Summer For girls From 9th-12th Grade
Have you ever wondered what these new technologies called Blockchain, Crypto, Bitcoin, Ethereum are all about? If you have, then this summer camp is for you. Come, join us for a week full of fun activities as we show you how to use “Crypto for Fun and Security”. You will work with and learn from CSU professors, students, and industry representatives who are experts in these areas.
The camp will comprise of morning theory sessions and hands-on afternoon sessions. The morning session gives students the necessary background to complete the project during the afternoon session. The last day will include a Capture the Flag / Treasure Hunt session. You will complete hands-on projects designed to be fun and spark interest and imagination. By the end of the week, you will have developed your own cryptocurrency which you will be able to trade-in for a Certificate

Registration Period: April 15th – May 30th
- 9:15 am drop-off at the CSU Computer Science Building -meet at the lobby.
- 3:30 pm pick-up from the CSU Computer Science Building
Required for registration:
1) Statement of purpose indicating why you will benefit from this experience.
2) A letter of recommendation from a teacher.
For Whom?
Female high school 9th-12th grade students. Some programming experience will be useful but not required.
Preperation
The camp assumes no prior experience in programming. A very basic background in Python or another high-level language will be beneficial. There are many Youtube videos to help you
