This 5-day camp for high school students focuses on cybersecurity. It provides an opportunity for students to learn about this rapidly growing field, as well as to develop valuable technical and critical thinking skills. Over the course of the camp, students will be introduced to a variety of topics related to cybersecurity, including network security, encryption, data protection, digital forensics, and social engineering. They will also learn about different career paths in the field, including pen testing, digital forensics, cryptographers, and IT, and will receive information about certifications and job search strategies. The camp will include hands-on activities, such as participating in a “Capture the Flag” competition, to help students apply what they have learned and develop their problem-solving skills. You will work with and learn from CSU professors and students and industry representatives who are experts in these areas.
The camp will comprise of morning theory sessions and hands-on afternoon sessions. The morning session gives students the necessary background to complete the project during the afternoon session. The last day will include a Capture the Flag / Treasure Hunt session.
You will complete hands-on projects designed to be fun and spark interest and imagination.
